Quilters' Playcation Adventure Sewalong 2023 - Month 4 Solids

Playing with abstracts for this year's Adventure Sewalong is a delicious challenge.  

I try to take the basic shape from the construction of our inspired block. That way there is a reference to it, without being at all literal. Up here, palm fronds as our inspiration. This month I chose to not repeat the design, as I had in previous months. I like that sparseness.

The colours in month two are bugging me a little. They feel drab. Really, it's because they are a shade or muddied colour compared to the brights of the other months. It means I can either redo it, or add some more similar muddied colours in coming months. I'm going with the latter.
